Abstract
For the first time in 40 years, the International Solid Waste Management Association organized an event focusing on the integration of the informal sector into the solid waste management system. Waste pickers from Argentina and the international coordinator for the Global Alliance participated in the event, providing input and sharing experiences at a seminar on waste management.
